Episode 13: Patricia Loya, Director of La Cocina, On Street Food & Business
What is La Cocina & how does this organization help women food entrepreneurs formalize their businesses? What training does La Cocina provide to help street food businesses grow? What was San Francisco Street Food Festival all about?
envisionGood.tv met up with Patricia Loya, Executive Director of La Cocina, at their one-day block party in San Francisco, California this past weekend to join in the festivities of the San Francisco Street Food Festival. La Cocina, a nonprofit in San Francisco, California that cultivates food entrepreneurs as they formalize and grow their businesses, hosted the event. In a spirit of celebration, the Street Food Festival brought together micro-entrepreneurs, informal food vendors and renowned chefs to enjoy great street food, and celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit and vibrant communities of San Francisco. The San Francisco Street Food Festival is a collaborative project with a special focus on the transition from informal to formal food businesses.
